The New FPI-X Represents the Cutting-Edge of Metering

One of the latest Flow Meter Products by McCrometer has been specially designed to address a common challenge faced by Utilities, Industrial Facilities, and other operations: obtaining accurate measurements amid flow disturbances. Thanks to its state-of-the-art Electromagnetic Dual Sensor, the new FPI-X ensures optimal precision in the most difficult conditions.

Building upon McCrometer’s patented and award winning FPI Mag technology, the FPI-X features multiple electromagnetic coils that are installed throughout both of its sensors, producing a magnetic field across the complete section of the pipe. This allows it to account for differences in velocity caused by flow disturbances, thereby providing measurements as accurate as ±0.5% under even the most several swirls.

In addition to supreme precision, this innovative multi-point sensing technology confers other advantages as well. The FPI-X’s compact and streamlined design makes it well suited in cramped or constrained spaces. In fact, it has been meticulously designed for installment in areas other meter’s can’t go, including near cascading or multiple pump arrays, valves, elbows, headers, or anywhere with asymmetrical velocity flow. Such versatile is rare even among mag meters.

Moreover, because it lacks moving parts – and is hermetically sealed and protected by NSF-certified 3M fusion-bonded epoxy coating – this meter requires minimal maintenance and upkeep, ensuring long-term performance. Since the FPI-X works in difficult sites that would otherwise require several meters, it also provides considerable savings in both money and installation.

Needless to say, the FPI-X from McCrometer is an ideal choice for a wide array of applications and operations, which is why the Avanti Company is proud to offer it to our customers. Learn more by contacting 800-284-5231 or info@avanticompany.com.
