The Dealer Design Awards honor products aimed at contractors with features that assist the HVACR industry in installing, maintaining, and servicing installed items.

TFX-5000 meters will calculate the flow rate plus the total volume of liquid by measuring the time difference between the transit time of the ultrasonic wave moving with and against the fluid flow. The disparity in time is then used to measure the fluid velocity. Should it be ordered as an RTD energy meter, the TFX-5000 measures the heat transfer rate and energy consumption.

The TFX-5000 does not require pipe cutting or tapping due to pipe clamping, this design significantly decreases the overall cost of installation and removes the risks associated with fouling or meter contaminants. In addition, the risk of pressure head loss is removed, and there is no need to maintain or replace moving parts. A few additional features of the TFX-5000 are the bi-directional flow measurement system, a robust aluminum frame, and ultrasonic speed and temperature compensation.
