An example of these meters is the MLI1 Meter Head which delivers 150 psi pressure in a sealed meter mechanism. The meter features a magnetic drive indicator plus a totalizer to accommodate sizes as small as three inches or as large 72 inches. Additionally, O-ring seals are used in all essential points as well as in the meter head, making the MLI1 fully immune to any corrosive effects caused by atmospheric moisture in whatever liquid is being measured. Installation of the MLI1 involves bolting the meter head assembly to a meter tube or saddle. The meter provides flexibility in that it allows for vertical, horizontal, or inclined installation on suction or discharge lines. For optimum accuracy, the MLI1 requires a full flow of liquid. Should there be fittings, gate valves or other obstructions that may create flow disturbances, these will require a minimum of ten pipe diameters upstream and two pipe diameters downstream from the meter.
