McCrometer recently announced a new feature to its line of agricultural products. Customers can now purchase non-programmable digital registers alongside their propeller meters like the venerable McPropeller and the Water Specialties flow meters.

The registers are designed to display essential information like volumetric total and flow rate. One of the longtime features of these registers is the ability to reprogram the information display in distinct data units. However, some states like Kansas and Colorado have since implemented regulatory requirements demanding that flow meters and their digital registers be locked to prevent reprogramming and to protect the security of data as well as tampering.

McCrometer currently provides a trio of registers, two of which have the non-programmable features enabled. These are the FlowCom digital register and the FlowConnect telemetry unit that focuses on automating data collection to provide precise matches. Customers will find a padlock imprinted on these registers to indicate that they are non-programmable and compliant with state regulations.
