In addition to its flow and energy measurement, TFX-5000 meters come with useful features for applications in HVAC, water and wastewater, oil and gas, industrial, and more. Among these features is time and date stamped data logging (a maximum of eight records) and alarm history.
TFX-5000 meters can measure flow rate plus the total liquid volume by recording the difference in time between the ultrasound wave travel time going with the fluid flow and against it. This time difference is then applied to fluid velocity calculation. When ordered as an RTD energy meter, TFX-5000 calculate the rate of heat transfer and energy usage.
Thanks to pipe clamping, the TFX-5000 does not need pipe cutting or tapping, This design dramatically reduces the total installation cost and it gets rid of risks associated with fouling or contamination of the meter. Moreover, pressure head loss risk is non-existent nor is there a need for moving part replacement or maintenance. Bi-directional flow measuring range, a rugged enclosure in aluminum, and ultrasonic speed and temperature compensation are a few additional features of the TFX-5000.
