The Águas de Matão is responsible for serving over 25,000 customers.
The non-revenue water levels Águas de Matão was dealing with were as much as fifty percent. To reduce these losses as well as protect revenues, the Utility will be in a much better position to address losses and account for water usage thanks to detailed water meter data provided by Itron. With this data, it’s much easier to keep an eye on water efficiency improvement and system performance. Furthermore, the Utility will be able to track the usage of water in an improved manner to ensure optimum resource efficiency.
Águas de Matão will utilize Itron’s commercial and industrial water monitoring technology to tackle water losses by evaluating patterns of consumption on a daily basis while remaining aware of any common issues such as backflow, water leaks, or blockages in the meter, all of which can be detected immediately. This technology works along with sophisticated software that allows the Utility to generate useful data, providing insights regarding the distribution network. All of this data can be accessed online and it integrates seamlessly with the Utility’s billing system.
