Optimum Drinking Water Quality with McCrometer

All components involved in potable water systems must meet a rigid set of standards called the NSF/ANSI-61: Drinking Water System Components — Health Effects, which are mandated by federal and state agencies responsible for regulating drinking water. These potable water components include flow meters.

McCrometer’s FPI Mag® meter is one of the components that has successfully met and surpassed the certification process, which includes a series of unique inspections, testing for destruction, and exhaustive examination to ensure every inch of the flow meter that comes into contact with water is safe and will not result in contamination.

The FPI Mag Meter has received both NSF/ANSI-61 and NSF/ANSI-372 approval. It is built for the utmost accuracy of ± 0.5% from 1 ft/s, up to 32 ft/s (0.3 m/s to 10 m/s) thanks to its electromagnetic flow sensor technology. Its Smart Output™ feature allows it to connect to AMI/AMR systems through an encoded digital output.

Despite its strong performance, the meter is designed to be user-friendly and allow for cost savings. It can be utilized among industrial and municipal applications and in scenarios such as maintenance projects, sites that have yet to be metered, or in retrofits, for example. There are no moving parts to worry about and it also has the flexibility of hot tap installation.
