Flow Meters & Metering Systems

Product Profile – LCMag Electromagnetic Flow Meters

Measuring the flow of electrically conductive liquids has never been more accurate and cost effective than with the celebrated LCMag line of Electromagnetic Flow Meters. Developed by Liquid Controls, a global leader in innovative Flow Meter products, these state-of-the-art meters exemplify the latest in meter technology.

Built from sturdy carbon steel (or with the option of 304 stainless steel), the LCMag family is designed to offer long-term dependability and low cost. They come in a wide range of diameters – from 1/8” to 80” – and can handle flow rates from 0.11 GPM to 400,000 GPM, depending on the model. Installation is easy and maintenance minimal.

The LCMag line shares in common its cutting-edge sensor system, which allows for optimal accuracy regardless of fluid traits like viscosity, density, temperature, or particulates. Lacking any moving parts, it works through a sensor consisting of a stainless steel pipe lined with insulating material; choices include PTFE, Polypropylene, and Ebonite, depending on the temperature and nature of the fluid being measured.

The meters’ two electrodes are positioned opposite of each other on the internal surface of the pipe, with the magnetic field being generated through coils outside the pipe. The complete sensor has an external NEMA 6-6P (IP67/68) protection rating, ensuring the integrity of the magnetic circuit while protecting the instrument from external conditions.

The specifications are impressive: pressure ratings are 150 to 300 ANSI, with accuracy of ±0.2% of rate over 10:1 range for flow velocity between 6 to 33-feet per second – suited for a wide variety of demanding operations and applications. Backed by the solid reputation and track record of Liquid Controls, the LCMag line of Electromagnetic Flow Meters is an excellent investment.
