Similar to other flow measuring devices based on the Bernoulli Principle, which describes the relationship between a fluid’s velocity and a fluid’s pressure, the V-Cone model calculates the difference between the pipe’s full bore pressure and the post-constriction pressure. This offers almost instant response time to pressure changes across an extensive range of flow rates and flow characteristics. Since a V-Cone is its own flow conditioner, friction in the incoming stream does not interrupt it, regardless of the medium or how long the straight pipe leading to the meter.
