The evoQ Electromagnetic Water Meter Meets Tougher Water Resource Demands

With greater demand comes a greater strain on water resources. Water utilities require new ways to meet these demands and accurately measure a customer’s consumption.

Electronic water metering solutions provide utilities the means to fairly bill all consumers without the need for expensive meter testing and maintenance programs. Degradation of meter accuracy as a result of mechanical wear in aging meters may result in revenue loss and water that goes unaccounted for, two scenarios a utility should not have to deal with.

The battery-powered evoQ electromagnetic water meter addresses these issues and more by providing utilities the utmost metering performance reliability plus the flexibility to easily connect major reading systems and boost commercial meter data resolution. These benefits can be applied to reclaimed water systems. Its features include ten years of continued life with no need for replacement, a broad measuring range, simple changeout and installation, and a 0.5 second sampling rate, to name a few.

The evoQ4 product line is a fantastic solution for metering utility customer services. The reclaimed water version can be used for general purposes with reclaimed cold water up to 120°F. Reclaimed water should be treated to a level to allow beneficial uses. Treatment should consist of oxidation, coagulation, filtration, and disinfection. The reclaimed water version of the evoQ meter is not meant to be used for untreated sewerage and wastewater.
